Regrettably, LAA will no longer be playing together as a band. We would, however, like to take this opportunity invite everyone to our reunion show in 2028. Keep your eyes peeled, it’ll probably be at Trophy’s. Until then, thanks for five great years. Your big-hearted support and encouragement meant the world to us.

    Hey guys,

Well it’s been a long journey recording this record, but we are nearing the final stages. All the tracks have been laid down (a whopping 60Gb of space has been used to record this behemoth) and the album is currently being mixed. Among the tracks is an instrumental track that has never before been heard and is currently untitled (suggestions are welcome). Since laying down the final tracks we have entered the lengthy mixing process and experimenting with different directions for the songs. The album should be wrapped up over the winter break and will hopefully be coming out early next year.

Below: Alex and Daniel create the “John Henry Beat”. In honor of the mythical folk hero, this cadence is a salute to the sounds of industry and the rail yard. Among the “instruments” played were a rusted brake rotor, a large board, a bike wheel, a suitcase, dirty 2×4′s and knee slaps. It’ll debut on our folk track, Even You.

    (Paul Bunyan approves.)
